This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as a developing technical authority within the engineering team.
• Take ownership of intricate development projects while guiding fellow engineers, enhancing engineering methodologies, and ensuring timely project delivery.
• Design, create, and maintain sophisticated user-facing applications using Angular, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Convert Figma designs into responsive and accessible interfaces by utilizing established Design System components.
• Spearhead the development of reusable UI components and advance the Design System across various applications.
• Create, sustain, and enhance automated UI testing utilizing Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Ensure that frontend implementations comply with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in production environments.
• Engage in on-call rotations and enhance application monitoring and observability.
• Guide Software Engineers I and II through code reviews, technical advice, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA professionals, UX designers, Product Managers, and stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree and over 5 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Extensive experience in developing contemporary web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficient in implementing intricate user interfaces from Figma or similar design platforms.
• Experience in creating reusable component libraries and working within enterprise Design Systems.
• Strong expertise in automated UI testing utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and best practices for accessible frontend development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues across development, testing, and production stages.
• Experience in mentoring engineers and conducting technical code reviews.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within Agile software development environments.
