Lead Front End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and refine a high-impact healthcare application utilizing TypeScript and React.

• Act as the technical cornerstone for the frontend team by directing architectural choices, reviewing pull requests, and advocating for quality.

• Promote a test-first approach across essential healthcare infrastructure.

• Incorporate WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards into the product.

• Integrate AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Gemini into the daily development process.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on RESTful API integration and facilitate frontend-to-backend delivery.

• Mentor fellow engineers and assist in their professional development.

• Engage in sprint planning, refinement, PI Planning, and release readiness alongside product and delivery teams.

• Execute other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of frontend engineering experience with substantial proficiency in TypeScript and React.

• Proven experience in technical leadership, encompassing code reviews, architectural decisions, and mentoring.

• Strong dedication to WCAG and Section 508 web accessibility standards.

• A test-first mindset with a history of developing reliable, maintainable software.

• Familiarity with AI-native development workflows and contemporary AI coding assistants.

• Knowledge of backend systems and REST APIs for efficient collaboration with backend engineers.

• Experience thriving in a remote, collaborative Agile setting.

• Clear and transparent communication with engineers, product teams, and government stakeholders.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Certain positions may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.
