Senior Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop tools and services tailored for healthcare professionals and doctors.

• Create innovative solutions within the Health & Professional sector.

• Architect and implement new frontend functionalities while progressively enhancing existing applications.

• Work on applications built with Node.js and develop browser-based UI components.

• Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams and various departments throughout the organization.

• Contribute to frontend methodologies and technologies that enhance user experience.

• Engage in team standups, Slack discussions, retrospectives, and post-incident reviews as necessary.

• Participate in code evaluations and review pull requests from other teams.

• Work alongside User Researchers to gain insights into product users.

• Engage in technology discussions, solution design, frontend architecture, and contribute to the open-source frontend playbook.

• Identify issues within the codebase and suggest solutions that align with best practices.

• Collaborate closely with Product teams early in the product development cycle to create reliable products.

• Mentor junior developers by offering technical guidance and constructive feedback.

• Recognize potential improvements in the codebase to prevent future challenges.

• Background in frontend development with expertise in a variety of methodologies and technologies.

• Comfortable managing complex, long-term systems at scale.

• Emphasis on robustness and maintainability over adopting the latest technologies.

• Proven experience in enhancing existing applications and designing new features.

• Proficient in working with Node.js applications and browser-based UI components.

• Familiarity with Node.js and Express is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with design systems is a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams.

• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of seniority.

• Ability to discuss and influence technology decisions using sound frontend practices.

• Proficient command of the English language.

• Understanding of progressive enhancement and accessibility principles.

• Knowledge of frontend architecture and best practices.

• Ability to collaborate with Product teams, User Researchers, Frontend Enablement, and other disciplines.

• Mid to Senior level experience suitable for the role.
