This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Compare a reference webpage with two AI-generated frontend versions.
• Display candidate pages side by side at desktop resolution and evaluate their fidelity to the target.
• Assess visual similarity, layout precision, implementation quality, and responsive behavior.
• Identify, prioritize, and describe significant issues; highlight ties, ambiguities, and technically flawed evaluation items.
• Analyze HTML, CSS, DOM structure, computed styles, the cascade, network activity, and assets using browser developer tools.
• Review semantic markup, flexbox, CSS Grid, media queries, float- or table-based layouts, and the quality of accessibility-related implementations.
• Conduct pixel-level investigations of box-model behavior, typography, colors, borders, backgrounds, images, stacking, overflow, clipping, and positioning.
• Execute provided webpages locally using terminal-based development workflows.
• Compose structured, technically actionable rationales for preference decisions.
• Consistently apply evaluation standards and contribute human preference data to enhance AI-generated frontend code.
• Over 3 years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack web development.
• Strong expertise in HTML and CSS.
• Thorough understanding of semantic markup, flexbox, CSS Grid, media queries, and responsive design.
• Ability to comprehend and analyze legacy float- and table-based layouts.
• Extensive knowledge of browser developer tools, including element inspection, computed styles, the box model, and network inspection.
• Adequate JavaScript knowledge to interpret scripts and DOM behavior.
• Comfortable using a terminal for running and inspecting local web projects.
• Exceptional ability to discern visual differences with a detailed, pixel-level standard.
• Proficient written English skills, with the ability to clearly justify technical evaluation decisions.
• A desktop or laptop capable of displaying a browser window at 1920px width or larger.
• Administrator rights on the machine utilized for project work.
• Capability to install and operate a local development or static-server environment.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing any confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Experience in translating Figma, PSD, or similar designs into production frontend code is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in code review, technical assessment, RLHF, preference evaluation, or AI model evaluation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with WCAG, ARIA, accessibility testing, web scraping, or DOM parsing is beneficial.
• Experience with common failure patterns in LLM-generated frontend code is highly valued.
• Flexible scheduling according to project requirements.
