Software Engineer III – FMX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high-quality web applications using React, Next.js, and contemporary JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Play a key role in the technical advancement of our Markets web platform, working alongside product and design teams to create engaging, high-performing, and accessible features.

• Manage and support features throughout the entire lifecycle: from implementation → instrumentation → deployment → monitoring → iteration based on metrics.

• Develop and uphold experimentation capabilities (feature flags, A/B tests) to quickly and safely validate ideas.

• Collaborate with backend APIs and work with platform teams to create reliable, observable systems.

• Contribute to the Go backend.

• Engage in code reviews, emphasizing code quality, readability, and maintainability.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance development speed while upholding high standards for security, accuracy, and performance.

• Adhere to and assist in refining team standards for AI utilization (including prompt patterns, code review checklists, and validation strategies).

• Actively contribute within a fast-paced 0→1 environment, looking for ways to remove obstacles for others and demonstrate initiative.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in building user-facing web applications utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Expertise in React, component-driven development, and state management patterns, with a good grasp of libraries such as NextJS, TanStack Query, Tailwind, and Zustand.

• Strong understanding of the features, idioms, and best practices of JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Knowledge of performance optimization, responsive design, accessibility, and web standards.

• Experience in integrating with backend APIs and collaborating with cross-functional platform and infrastructure teams.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing methodologies, and safe deployment practices for web applications.

• A team-oriented mindset, with a commitment to completing tasks and a drive for continuous improvement.

• Experience with AI tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) for deploying production code.

• Capable of discussing how AI tools enhance the development workflow (e.g., boilerplate generation, debugging).

• Effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including engineers and stakeholders.

• Flourish in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently and decisions are made rapidly.

• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
