• Ensure designs are in alignment with the overall platform architecture established by Staff engineers.
• Lead the integration of forecasting, ETA prediction, or anomaly-detection signals into the fulfillment workflows of your workstream.
• Collaborate with Staff engineers and data/ML engineers to translate model outputs into reliable operational logic.
• Establish the standards for detecting and automatically acting on exceptions and anomalies within your domain.
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker for engineers in your workstream, without formal people-management authority.

• Familiarity with e-commerce order management, inventory, warehouse, or logistics systems is highly advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving 0-to-1 environment.
• Strong foundational knowledge in backend engineering: APIs, data modeling, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native service design.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures (queues, streams, async processing).
• Strong practices in testing, debugging, and production support.
• Capacity to set technical direction and make well-informed judgment calls without direct authority.

• Comfort in representing a workstream in broader architectural discussions.
• Exposure to EDI standards or 3PL/WMS integration patterns (Nice to Have).
• Experience in integrating ML model outputs (forecasts, predictions, anomaly scores) into application logic (Nice to Have).
• Interest in developing domain expertise in e-commerce logistics and fulfillment (Nice to Have).
• Ability to influence and align engineers without formal authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in asynchronous and distributed team environments.
