This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Deliver operational support for Java-based applications and services in a production environment.
• Diagnose application, server, and infrastructure problems to promptly restore service.
• Examine logs, performance data, and system behavior to determine root causes.
• Assist in managing Linux-based server environments and application infrastructure.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
• Oversee application health, system performance, and availability.
• Record operational procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
• Suggest enhancements to system reliability, scalability, and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Advanced experience in supporting and troubleshooting Java applications.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Experience in supporting production environments with high availability needs.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or similar.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Basic understanding of Go (Golang).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Experience with various development programs.
• Capability to rapidly learn customer support processes, tools, and techniques.
• Knowledge of configuring third-party software components and technologies.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis for network, operating system, and other issues.
• Capacity to collaborate and work remotely utilizing communication tools.
• Strong multitasking and self-organization skills, including activity prioritization.
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Nice to have: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Nice to have: Experience with supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Nice to have: Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Nice to have: Proficiency in Git and version control.
• Must be capable of performing office-related tasks that may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Must have the ability to navigate within an office setting.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
