This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop and implement features across the platform services that constitute Stacklok Enterprise, including the runtime, Kubernetes operator, gateway, and registry.
• Resolve issues and enhance platform systems for enterprise production use, thereby increasing stability across customer deployments.
• Write clean, testable code that considers edge cases and error handling, and create clear design documentation for the tasks you undertake.
• Review pull requests and participate in design discussions, collaborating with technical leads, product teams, and fellow engineers on collective platform initiatives.
• Independently plan and organize your own tasks and small epics, knowing when to engage a teammate or escalate a design-related question.
• Contribute to the open-source ToolHive codebase and work in collaboration with community contributors on shared projects.
• Proficient in Go, capable of writing clean, testable code that addresses edge cases and error handling.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker, including isolation and networking, preferably in self-hosted environments.
• Proven ability to independently deliver features across a backend or platform codebase, from implementation through testing to release.
• Experience in building or operating platform services such as APIs, gateways, Kubernetes operators, or tools for release and deployment.
• Ability to produce clear design documentation and provide insightful code reviews that enhance the quality of shared work.
• Comfortable working in an open-source environment; familiarity with MCP or AI-agent infrastructure is an advantage.
