This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications utilizing Kotlin and contemporary Android frameworks.
• Create and deliver mobile features that improve the EV charging experience for both retail and fleet customers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and QA teams to identify, develop, and launch mobile solutions.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, payment systems, and charging infrastructure.
• Enhance application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability across all supported Android devices.
• Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve intricate technical challenges.
• Contribute to Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with no experience; or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in Kotlin and a comprehensive understanding of the Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and MVVM/MVI architectural patterns.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining high-performance consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile-backend integration.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth LE or NFC for hardware-to-mobile communication.
• Proficient in using Google Maps SDK and location-based services.
• Experience in building APIs, preferably with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Fastlane, and Firebase App Distribution.
• Experience with high-availability mobile systems and offline-first data strategies.
• Background in EV charging, energy systems, or automotive technology.
• Familiarity with Amplitude, Braze, and Dash0 for analytics and logging.
• Experience using Jira or a similar project management tool.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented, agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for UI/UX design.
