This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +4 more states.
β’ Develop frontend features for the checkout and payment processing teams.
β’ Create the merchant dashboard experience in React to facilitate onboarding with Primer.
β’ Collaborate with senior frontend engineers on project scoping, architecture, conventions, and standards.
β’ Deploy features to production and monitor their performance and impact.
β’ Assist in designing and building the initial merchant experience with Primer, in partnership with the Design team.
β’ Contribute to the Python backend when relevant.
β’ Engage in architecture discussions and clearly articulate trade-offs.
β’ Deliver accessible, high-performing, and maintainable frontend UI at scale.
β’ Write clean, well-tested, and high-quality code.
β’ Proven frontend engineering experience, with a history of independently delivering production-level work throughout the full project lifecycle.
β’ Extensive proficiency in TypeScript.
β’ Experience with web components is preferred.
β’ Capability to scope projects, plan architecture, and work independently.
β’ Strong comprehension of accessible, high-performance, maintainable UI at scale.
β’ Ability to contribute effectively to architecture discussions and articulate trade-offs succinctly.
β’ Consistently writes clean, well-tested, and high-quality code.
β’ Understands the user and business context behind technical tasks.
β’ Communicates effectively and directly in asynchronous environments.
β’ Experience in building SDKs, embeddable components, or developer-facing tools is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with payments, checkout processes, or high-availability frontend systems is advantageous.
β’ No prior experience with Python backend is necessary; a willingness to contribute when required is essential.
β’ Must reside in Hungary, Poland, South Africa, Portugal, or Romania.
β’ Must provide information regarding working rights in the country of residence.
