This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Design and create software while enhancing existing codebases.
β’ Develop unit tests and ensure your software meets acceptance criteria.
β’ Adhere to team standards for coding, documentation, and testing.
β’ Perform impact analysis to proactively assess the effects of changes within applications.
β’ Engage in code reviews and effectively communicate application modifications.
β’ Document code and projects to facilitate understanding, maintenance, and support by others.
β’ Troubleshoot production issues and propose effective solutions.
β’ Read and write design documentation.
β’ Acquire knowledge of the business process domain to provide better support for the organization.
β’ Contribute to the team's sprint goals and actively engage in Agile practices.
β’ Participate in continuous learning initiatives to enhance design and coding quality, as well as to increase knowledge of the application domain.
β’ Mentor and assist less experienced software engineers.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; or equivalent professional experience.
β’ At least 2 years of software engineering experience or a comparable level of expertise.
β’ Significant experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js, with a strong focus on backend development.
β’ Experience with cloud platform environments such as AWS.
β’ Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
β’ Practical knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies.
β’ Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
β’ Preferred: Advanced knowledge of IDEs and the ability to navigate them efficiently.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of application programming interfaces (APIs) and frameworks in their specific area: JSON, REST/SOAP based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket preferred.
β’ Experience with API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and request/response modifications.
β’ Familiarity with creating REST API documentation using Swagger or similar tools is desirable.
β’ Ability to use DDL to create database objects and relationships, as well as to construct advanced queries.
β’ Experience in the financial services industry.
