Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications.

• Contribute to multiple phases of at least one significant application throughout the entire system life cycle.

• Take ownership of key software components and decompose large tasks into manageable sub-tasks.

• Prioritize tasks and establish measurable completion objectives.

• Create functions from loosely defined requests utilizing relevant programming languages and technologies.

• Produce reusable code and implement deployment automation.

• Compose and execute functional test scenarios and scripts.

• Work autonomously on project components and provide regular progress updates.

• Conduct thorough code reviews.

• Guide and mentor junior Software Engineers.

• Diagnose and resolve production incidents.

• Relay any roadblocks to stakeholders, management, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of accredited university, college (computer science or computer engineering), or trade school education and training in relevant technology.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of software development experience with a focus on backend development using C#.

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server relational database management systems.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud computing services.

• Proven experience in designing, building, testing, debugging, and maintaining scalable applications and services in a production setting.

• Familiarity with xUnit and dependency injection for testing and debugging purposes.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

• Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred.

• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
