This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Design and implement real-time data pipelines while addressing complex big data challenges utilizing Spark, Python, Java/Scala, SQL, and AWS.
• Create dependable, maintainable, and well-documented code capable of scaling to accommodate millions of users.
• Establish and oversee optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle as a member of an Agile team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to enhance and adjust requirements.
• Adhere to established design paradigms and patterns.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing.
• Take part in the on-call rotation to monitor deployed features for performance and issues.
• Assist business teams and product managers with data extraction and analysis.
• Develop software for user interfaces, business logic, data modeling, systems integration, and component integration.
• Construct analytics tools that leverage data pipelines to deliver actionable insights regarding customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics.
• Execute pull request reviews and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and manage end-to-end ETL pipelines for both real-time and batch processing.
• Securely and efficiently migrate large-scale datasets from MSSQL environments to cloud-based data warehouses.
• Develop streaming architecture utilizing SNS, Kinesis Data Streams, and Kinesis Data Analytics.
• Facilitate real-time insights and schema-validated ingestion.
• Employ GitHub, SQL, REST APIs, and Jira.
• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience in a software engineering role or a related occupation.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience performing pull request reviews and integrating CI/CD pipelines.
• A minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience in developing and managing pipelines for the secure and efficient migration of large-scale datasets.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience in writing and optimizing complex, performance-oriented SQL queries.
• A minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience in engineering advanced data features/architectures to ensure high-quality data delivery.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience utilizing GitHub, SQL, REST APIs, and Jira.
• Experience may be gained concurrently.
