Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Maintain and enhance software applications.

• Identify and resolve issues, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Operate within an agile framework.

• Fulfill daily scrum responsibilities to aid in project success.

• Design, create, test, and deploy software modifications and improvements.

• Uphold Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to enhance quality and facilitate Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to develop automated testing solutions.

• Meet expectations regarding productivity, quality, and achievement of goals.

• Work alongside managers to accomplish assigned tasks.

• Adhere to relevant privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.

• Participate in mandatory continuing education, including HIPAA training.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in software development using Microsoft's platform.

• Strong comprehension of SOLID principles and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Extensive experience in coding with C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web APIs, and WCF.

• Experience in SQL Server development, including the creation and modification of stored procedures.

• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting across all layers of the technology stack.

• Experience in maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Capability to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exposure to Agile Development methodologies.

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

• Experience with Joget.

• Knowledge of legacy systems such as VB6 and classic ASP.

• Must have internet service through cable broadband or fiber optic with a minimum of 100Mbps download and 25Mbps upload.
