Software Engineer, GUI/Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and take charge of customer-centric product experiences across the Hermes Agent and Nous Portal, accessible on desktop, web, and mobile platforms.

• Create comprehensive full-stack features that encompass frontend applications, backend APIs, and auxiliary services.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver refined, user-friendly experiences that exhibit outstanding performance and reliability.

• Construct cross-platform interfaces that provide a native feel for each environment, all while ensuring a seamless product experience.

• Swiftly convert product concepts into operational features, then refine them using customer feedback and usage analytics.

• Offer product insights and engineering viewpoints throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Address intricate technical issues across the stack while upholding high standards of code quality and maintainability.

• Design, implement, and sustain automated testing to guarantee reliability in each release.

• Work alongside Research and AI teams to integrate new model functionalities into customer-facing products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with a proven ability to build and deliver production software.

• Demonstrated success in developing customer-facing products utilized by actual users.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, or comparable frontend technologies.

• Skilled in Python and comfortable with systems programming languages such as Rust.

• Experience in developing software for desktop, web, or mobile platforms.

• Strong intuition for product development and a keen eye for UX, interaction design, and visual aesthetics.

• Exceptional collaboration abilities with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers.

• A strong sense of curiosity, ownership, and the capability to excel in a dynamic engineering environment.

• Extensive experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity and quality.

• Nice to have: background in cross-platform products, AI solutions, LLM applications, AI agents, tool-calling workflows, PyTorch, OpenAI-compatible APIs, model routing, modern AI infrastructure, open-source software, AI developer tools, or a robust personal project portfolio.
