Software Engineer – Golang, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain production-grade Kubernetes Operators utilizing Operator SDK or Kubebuilder.

• Automate the management of application lifecycles and infrastructure orchestration.

• Architect and implement Custom Resource Definitions and controllers to enhance the Kubernetes API.

• Construct and refine custom Kubernetes scheduler plugins for optimal workload placement.

• Tackle cost-efficiency, reduce latency, and manage resource constraints through effective scheduling strategies.

• Develop, deploy, and oversee DaemonSets for optimizing NVIDIA and AMD GPU usage.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate custom solutions into Kubernetes.

• Investigate trends within the Kubernetes ecosystem, including KEPs and upstream projects.

• Prototype cutting-edge solutions to address evolving infrastructure challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering with Go.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, including controller patterns and reconciliation loops.

• Experience with extending the Kubernetes API through Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).

• Familiarity with custom scheduling logic utilizing Kubernetes scheduler plugins and extension points.

• Solid knowledge of GPU architectures.

• Understanding of how to expose, manage, and optimize GPUs within Kubernetes clusters.

• Capability to collaborate with various teams to incorporate custom functionality into cluster workflows.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software delivery processes.

• Proficient in Bash and/or Python for basic scripting and automation tasks.
