Software Engineer – Go, Networking, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Designing, constructing, implementing, and enhancing large-scale global traffic routing platforms.

• Creating high-performance distributed traffic infrastructure.

• Building and overseeing extensive distributed systems and networking software.

• Managing intricate migrations of legacy network systems and codebases within large-scale environments.

• Developing essential network routing tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience for Mid-level / 7 years for Senior-level positions.

• Expertise in Golang, with significant experience in designing and constructing distributed systems.

• At least 5 years of experience in creating and managing large-scale geo-distributed networking software and solutions, complemented by relevant software design and development experience.

• Profound knowledge of environments centered around Envoy.

• Strong experience with the Envoy Proxy (Data Plane) architecture paired with the Go Control Plane.

• Advanced understanding of network protocols from L3 to L7, network infrastructure, and observability mechanisms.

• Solid grasp of the Linux network stack.

• Practical experience with eBPF.

• Hands-on expertise in low-level socket/kernel performance tuning.

• Practical knowledge of Rust for developing and maintaining Envoy WASM filters.

• Fundamental understanding of C and/or C++ to facilitate low-level system integrations and debugging.
