This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the architectural design and technical standardization for the Brahma Studio platform.
• Establish technical accuracy through initial system design, service boundary specifications, and architectural documentation such as ADRs and RFCs.
• Collaborate with fellow architects and teams across the organization to assess dependencies, negotiate technical limitations, and synchronize cross-platform functionalities.
• Substitute temporary solutions with sustainable design patterns.
• Enhance build pipelines and optimize oversized Docker containers.
• Lead comprehensive system design by assessing scalability, data flows, trade-offs, performance constraints, stress testing, and resilience prior to implementation.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, RFCs, ADRs, API contracts, and standardized software patterns.
• Architect, profile, and optimize distributed, high-throughput data processing pipelines utilizing native GCP services.
• Implement observability, logging, and error management across cloud-native microservices.
• Develop production-quality Python code for essential platform modules and critical frameworks.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor senior engineers in structured architectural methodologies.
• Over 8 years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend system architecture and high-volume enterprise data processing.
• Demonstrated experience as a system design authority (Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Architect).
• Proven ability to assess complex edge cases prior to construction.
• Expert-level knowledge of modern Python, including asyncio, type hinting, performance profiling, and memory management.
• Extensive experience in designing and managing architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong proficiency in multi-stage Docker builds and container optimization.
• Familiarity with Go, including the ability to read, write, or integrate Go-based microservices where concurrency requirements exist.
• Remote work available within UTC+0 to UTC+3 time zones.
