Software Engineer, Frontend Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and design the frontend for Legion's Command & Control system, managing swarms of diverse aircraft.

• Create real-time, collaborative interfaces that enable the control of numerous aircraft simultaneously, even during communication disruptions.

• Develop and implement UI concepts for vehicle telemetry, sensor data, scheduling, crew resources, data link management, and other related functionalities.

• Establish frontend architecture, design patterns, and standards for the team.

• Deliver updates frequently through robust CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in building complex, production-level frontend applications.

• Proven history of leading frontend architecture initiatives.

• Exceptional UI/UX instincts supported by relevant tools.

• Extensive experience in developing production web interfaces using React or a similar modern framework.

• Experience in mentoring engineers and guiding the technical vision for a frontend team.

• Familiarity with both immediate mode (games, simulation) and retained mode UI paradigms.

• Proven track record in developing performance-sensitive applications.

• Knowledge of video streaming protocols.

• Experience with WebGL/OpenGL.

• Experience in geospatial application development.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to secure the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
