Software Engineer – II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Architect, Product Manager, and team to gather requirements and transform functional needs into system specifications.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain web-based applications throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

• Enhance application functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Gain insights into business, product, and domain areas to suggest functional enhancements.

• Identify technical gaps and clarify uncertainties in concepts and designs.

• Align with team objectives, prioritize tasks, and propose adjustments to project scope.

• Take ownership of assigned modules and independently create high-quality features.

• Develop basic project plans for smaller initiatives and development efforts.

• Adhere to coding, development, quality assurance, and configuration management protocols.

• Engage in code reviews to enhance team processes, code quality, and work items.

• Design and implement database solutions, maintain database objects, and assist with performance optimization.

• Diagnose and debug applications, address performance issues, and resolve operational challenges.

• Acquire knowledge about production infrastructure, interfaces, integrations, and product dependencies.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and suggest practical improvements to processes.

• Foster cross-team relationships and communicate requirements with partner groups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 3+ years of practical software development experience.

• Proficient in C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.

• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or other event processing platforms.

• Familiarity with React.js or Angular.

• Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and VPC.

• Knowledge of MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or DocumentDB.

• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, and PowerShell.

• Familiarity with Splunk, ELK Stack, or DataDog.

• Understanding of unit testing, BDD, and TDD methodologies.

• Experience with Git-based source code management.

• Knowledge of Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Practical experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Pi, along with agentic coding assistants.

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with Python, Databricks, or AWS/Azure Developer certification is a plus.
