Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of significant projects and complex initiatives throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, launch, and improve web-based applications.

• Make autonomous technical choices and convert intricate requirements into practical designs.

• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Architect, Product Manager, and engineering teams on objectives and technical direction.

• Manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and facilitate the resolution of operational challenges.

• Develop project plans, decompose epics, and establish milestones and acceptance criteria.

• Advocate for coding standards, quality assurance, and configuration management.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, enhance processes, minimize repetitive tasks, and streamline systems.

• Design and enhance database solutions for optimal performance, data accessibility, and reliability at scale.

• Lead production troubleshooting, perform root-cause analysis, implement remediation, ensure observability, and establish operational safeguards.

• Own system-level design while managing infrastructure, integrations, and inter-system dependencies.

• Coordinate across teams and align stakeholders to address technical dependencies.

• Mentor engineers, assist in hiring, and promote a collaborative team culture.

• Propel continuous improvement in team planning, measurement, and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of practical software development experience.

• Proven experience in managing production systems and providing technical leadership on complex initiatives.

• Proficiency in C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.

• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture utilizing Apache Kafka or other event processing services.

• Experience with React.js or Angular.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and VPC.

• Experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB.

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, and PowerShell.

• Experience with Splunk, ELK Stack, or DataDog.

• Knowledge of Unit Testing, BDD, and TDD.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API design.

• Familiarity with Git-based source code management and code review practices.

• Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

• Effective use of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Pi, along with agentic coding assistants.

• Knowledge of Python, Databricks, or AWS/Azure Developer certification is a plus.
