This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software features and enhancements using an iterative development methodology.
• Create and maintain generative AI functionalities within enterprise AI platforms while adhering to governance and risk guidelines.
• Develop AI-assisted tools to enhance how Associates access information and accomplish their tasks.
• Design automated workflows that integrate tools with engineering systems.
• Engage in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives, and feedback sessions.
• Contribute to the technical design of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional team members to comprehend user stories and provide effective solutions.
• Identify and address software defects and technical challenges.
• Ensure thorough documentation of features and solutions.
• Remain updated on relevant technologies and industry trends.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development practices.
• Experience in developing LLM/GenAI applications, including prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic workflows, preferably within GCP Vertex AI.
• Background in Slack app development or workflow automation, encompassing Slack API, Bolt SDK, or Workflow Builder.
• Proficient in API/webhooks integration.
• Working knowledge of enterprise AI governance and model risk principles.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively to a self-organizing team.
• Familiarity with software testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Understanding of version control systems such as Git and CI/CD concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or NoSQL database technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
