Software Engineer, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform utilizing Terraform.

• Enhance and manage CI/CD pipelines within GitHub Actions.

• Streamline repetitive operational tasks through automation using scripts and tools.

• Equip services and infrastructure with monitoring, dashboards, and alerts via Datadog.

• Engage in the on-call rotation and address incidents as they arise.

• Establish and monitor Service Level Objectives for essential infrastructure and build systems.

• Assist product engineering teams with deployment pipelines, environmental concerns, and build debugging.

• Oversee preview and staging environments, including data synchronization, masking, and cleanup processes.

• Enhance developer experience through improved tools, runbooks, and documentation.

• Craft well-tested and thoroughly reviewed infrastructure code, participating in design evaluations and RFCs.

• Conduct and participate in code reviews while sharing insights through collaboration and documentation.

• Collaborate with Platform, Data Engineering, and domain product teams to optimize their production pathways.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3 - 4 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or backend engineering within production settings.

• Practical experience in provisioning and managing infrastructure on at least one cloud platform (preferably Google Cloud Platform).

• Proven history of delivering automation, pipelines, or infrastructure that enhanced team productivity and reliability.

• A passion for improving developer productivity and maximizing team impact.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices (preferably Terraform) and the construction of CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions).

• Strong software engineering skills and comfort with Linux environments.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, with solid debugging instincts across logs, traces, and metrics.

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and containerized applications.

• A solid foundation in reliability, performance, and security principles.
