📋 Description

• Create, develop, and maintain data-platform functionalities that encompass data warehousing, orchestration, business intelligence tools, and data governance.

• Construct dependable Python services and tools for developers focused on data products.

• Develop scalable infrastructure using code with Terraform.

• Define methodologies for managing petabyte-scale data while ensuring governance, security, reliability, and user-friendliness.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and product teams to enhance platform capabilities.

• Assess and create agentic workflows, ensuring proper controls and observability are in place.

• Set the technical trajectory, elevate engineering standards, and provide mentorship to engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience at a senior level.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Proven track record of designing, delivering, and managing production systems.

• Practical experience in building or managing data platforms, data products, or extensive data infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar contemporary data platforms.

• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Solid understanding of petabyte-scale data management encompassing performance, cost, reliability, access controls, lineage, quality, and governance.

• Experience working directly with data practitioners.

• Strong technical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to lead across various teams.
