Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and scale robust ETL/ELT processes for collecting and processing user activity data.

• Design cloud data warehouses and analytical architectures based on BigQuery, Airflow, and Dataform.

• Ensure high availability, accuracy, and security in data processing.

• Maintain data lineage and observability at the platform level.

• Collaborate with analytics, backend, and infrastructure teams.

• Transform raw data into product metrics and actionable insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python and SQL: from building production-ready solutions to optimizing queries for real workloads.

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT orchestration (Airflow, Dataform, or similar tools).

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts: dimensional modeling, partitioning, clustering, and cost control.

• 3+ years as a Data Engineer in production environments with real workloads.

• Ability to articulate and advocate for technical solutions.

• Willingness to take responsibility for the outcome of the domain, not just for individual code.

• Proactive knowledge sharing and conducting valuable code reviews.

• Capability to see the big picture, independently set the agenda, and quickly learn new technologies and approaches.
