Software Engineer – Cloud/GovCloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage critical initiatives in support of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).

• Engage in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, which includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Design, create, and uphold scalable, efficient, and maintainable applications utilizing Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript.

• Develop and enhance database solutions using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Construct and facilitate cloud-based solutions within AWS GovCloud environments.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud services and system integrations.

• Collaborate in an Agile setting with product owners, architects, cybersecurity teams, and DevSecOps professionals.

• Perform code reviews, unit and integration testing, and debugging activities.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation that includes system architecture, software design, and implementation details.

• Ensure adherence to federal regulations, Department of Workforce policies, and security standards.

• Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, status reports, and performance updates for government stakeholders and corporate leadership.

• Foster partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance (Interim TS will be accepted).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), covering design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, enterprise-level applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, specifically in AWS.

• Practical experience with Java or Kotlin and TypeScript.

• Strong comprehension of object-oriented design principles and contemporary development frameworks.

• Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases, including the ability to write and optimize queries and ensure data integrity.

• Familiarity with supporting applications in AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud environments.

• Knowledge of cloud architecture, performance optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Acquainted with Agile methodologies, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to work core hours from 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time.

• Willingness to travel once a quarter to an office or client site, if necessary.
