Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain payment microservices, Banking as a Service (BaaS), and regulatory integrations utilizing .NET (C#) and Python;

• Create and enhance REST APIs for partners, with an emphasis on contracts, versioning, and developer experience (DX);

• Implement resilience and fault-tolerance strategies such as retries, circuit breakers, idempotency, and dead-letter queues;

• Develop solutions for auditability, traceability, and structured logging that comply with BCB requirements;

• Engage in a rotating on-call schedule, independently diagnosing production incidents;

• Conduct code reviews and foster the technical development of team engineers;

• Play a role in architectural decisions through Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development, particularly in distributed systems and high availability;

• Expertise in .NET (C#), including ASP.NET Core, Python, background services, and resilience patterns (e.g., Polly);

• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS, IBM MQ, or similar);

• Strong understanding of AWS, relational databases, and transactional data modeling;

• Competence in production observability, including logs, metrics, and traces.
