Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of Airis, the web-based risk management platform, particularly focusing on the module for energy suppliers and distributors.

• Work on APIs, data flow, DevOps, and gradually transition to MLOps.

• Write production-grade Python code with an emphasis on testability, maintainability, and performance (TDD).

• Participate in code reviews and establish standards and best practices.

• Engage in pair programming with the team, also utilizing AI agents for support.

• Share insights on architecture and DevOps practices.

• Perform cloud deployments using Terraform.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and AWS.

• Contribute to frontend features using React.

• Provide ongoing support to the data science team on climate data models and pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in Python (standard libraries, data structures, API development).

• Experience with cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, AWS).

• Experience in containerized development.

• Comfortable using AI agents as development support, with a critical and aware approach.

• Frontend experience with React and Tailwind (nice to have).

• Experience with ML technologies such as Torch, Tensorflow, scikit-learn, MLflow, or ONNX (nice to have).

• Experience with geospatial data technologies like Zarr, xarray, GDAL, rasterio, or NetCDF (nice to have).

• Experience in setting up SRE/DevSecOps processes (nice to have).
