Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop web applications that meet enterprise standards.

• Create automated microservices.

• Oversee multi-step financial validation engines utilizing Python and Django.

• Design, construct, and sustain containerized microservices and backend web applications employing Python and the Django REST Framework.

• Build dynamic workflow engines and state machines to handle complex approval processes, billing calculations, and financial validation logic.

• Model, enhance, and uphold relational database schemas to ensure data integrity and auditability.

• Execute background task processing and scheduling for dynamic data ingestion and integrations with third-party APIs.

• Set up role-based access control along with secure authentication and authorization protocols.

• Ensure consistency in the development environment through containerization.

• Facilitate automated building, testing, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD methodologies.

• Provide support and maintenance for complementary software applications across various technology stacks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• DoW Secret Clearance is mandatory; only candidates with an active DoW Clearance will be considered.

• Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA] certification is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a similar technical field is required.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with Django.

• Experience with SQL.

• Knowledge of Docker/Docker Compose.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Git and GitLab.

• Preferred: Experience with AWS GovCloud services including S3, EC2, RDS, EBS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Ansible.

• Preferred: Experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Preferred: Knowledge of PHP and Laravel.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Linux.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace with reliable internet for remote work.

• Schedule must align with the core business hours of coworkers and clients.

• Required to disclose any current or future outside employment and obtain written approval.

• Capability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods and consistently operate a computer.

• Frequent communication via electronic means, phone, and in-person interactions.

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move moderate weights, typically under 20 pounds.
