Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the frontend for Virtual Agent products.

• Develop and enhance customer-facing interfaces for AI-driven workflows.

• Transform and restructure the existing frontend into a scalable, reusable platform.

• Create shared component libraries, establish consistent patterns, and ensure maintainable code.

• Utilize product thinking to craft simpler and more effective customer experiences.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate intent into production-grade frontend code.

• Work in close partnership with platform and backend engineers to guarantee frontend support from APIs and services.

• Report directly to a Principal Engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior, product-oriented React engineer with a track record of developing and launching startup frontends.

• Extensive, expert-level experience in creating production React applications, including state management, performance optimization, and testing.

• Profound knowledge of TypeScript, modern React tools such as Next.js and Vite, and design systems.

• Experience in building multiple frontends from scratch at startups.

• Insight into the balance between rapid development and managing technical debt.

• Experience in re-imagining and restructuring frontend codebases for product and team scalability, including component libraries, design systems, and shared tools.

• Practical experience using AI coding agents as a fundamental part of the work, such as Claude Code or Codex.

• Strong product intuition and thinking.

• Promotion of robust software engineering practices, standards, and culture.

• Willingness to remain actively involved for at least the next 12 months.

• Previous experience as an early-stage or founding engineer is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Some full-stack experience and comfort with backend or API work is a plus, but not required.

• Experience in designing frontend architecture for AI-driven or data-intensive products is a plus, but not required.
