Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend services utilizing Node.js and NestJS (Express).

• Create and sustain high-performance RESTful APIs.

• Ensure financial accuracy by implementing idempotency, reconciliation, retries, and clearly defined failure states.

• Model and manage relational data, primarily using PostgreSQL.

• Make informed architectural and system-design decisions while understanding trade-offs.

• Guarantee optimal service performance and take ownership of production deployments from start to finish.

• Enhance engineering standards through code reviews, collaboration, and adherence to technical standards.

• Mentor fellow engineers and facilitate technical discussions.

• Navigate multiple workstreams within a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

• Work closely with Product and other engineering teams to scale the platform effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in Node.js and NestJS (Express).

• Demonstrated experience in designing and operating RESTful APIs in a production environment.

• Advanced understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience with writing unit and integration tests.

• Solid knowledge of design principles and architectural patterns.

• Proven history of independently shipping features and managing service performance.

• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and mentor others effectively.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is desirable.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Pub/Sub is advantageous.

• Background in fintech, payments, or credit is preferred.

• Proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
