This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage in a dynamic commercial space environment focusing on upcoming prominent lunar missions.
• Play a vital role in the United States' return to lunar activities.
• Conduct trajectory analysis and generation for missions within cislunar space.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries.
• Produce analyses that inform mission requirements.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of the GNC system for satellites.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary software and hardware teams.
• Develop, test, and conduct peer reviews of GNC flight software using C and C++.
• Support the selection, evaluation, and integration of GNC sensors and effector systems.
• Perform and analyze 6-DOF simulations to assess anticipated on-orbit performance.
• Aid in the integration and testing of navigation HWIL sensors and effectors for lunar missions.
• Contribute to the development, integration, and testing of real-time flight software for satellites.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline with 3–7 years of pertinent experience.
• Experience in the development and implementation of Kalman Filters.
• Background in real-time software development.
• Familiarity with GN&C hardware such as IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR, and/or OpNav systems.
• Experience with SWIL and/or HWIL testing and integration.
• Knowledge of relative navigation, image processing, or feature detection techniques.
• Experience in supporting flight control analysis and evaluating vehicle performance and stability.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python programming languages.
• Experience in GN&C sensor testing, planning, or modeling.
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
• Foundational understanding of spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with VxWorks or other real-time operating systems is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities.
• Proven capability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Practical experience with navigation sensor hardware, Kalman filtering, LIDAR, real-time software, Monte Carlo analysis, and C/C++ or Python.
• Experience contributing to GNC development efforts in spacecraft or satellite programs.
• Previous experience working with or supporting satellite systems.
• Ability to support government and agency partners.
