Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and implement features that enhance accessible digital health services across Receptive’s brands.

• Create and manage full-stack applications and integrations utilizing Webflow, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.

• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to identify needs, clarify requirements, and transform challenges into actionable technical solutions.

• Take ownership of features from the technical planning stage through to implementation, testing, deployment, and follow-up.

• Decompose tasks into manageable increments and communicate progress and potential trade-offs effectively.

• Investigate bugs and production issues, address root causes, and enhance system reliability and performance.

• Write clear and maintainable code while conducting pull request reviews.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and testing, while remaining accountable for quality and security.

• Assist in quality assurance through both automated and hands-on testing, regression checks, and defect documentation.

• Verify fixes and contribute to assessing release readiness.

• Work collaboratively with teammates, sharing knowledge, and applying security and privacy practices when managing sensitive healthcare data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a product or technology-driven services company.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Experience in building and maintaining APIs and applications hosted on AWS.

• Capability to work across various application layers and acquire the necessary tools to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Experience in writing automated tests.

• Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing.

• Experience contributing to deployment workflows and ensuring reliable production systems.

• Practical knowledge of AI-assisted development tools, with the discernment to review, test, and validate their outcomes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment regarding scope, quality, speed, and maintainability.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style.

• Ability to progress work independently while seeking input as necessary.

• Experience in a growing company where priorities and processes may shift and evolve.

• A curious mindset, openness to feedback, and a commitment to enhancing work and team practices.

• Relevant experience in healthcare technology, HIPAA compliance, or another highly regulated industry is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Healthie, GraphQL, or Webflow is beneficial.

• Experience with data warehousing, Snowflake, business intelligence, or reporting tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with Asana and Notion is a plus.
