Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, test, and sustain adaptable and scalable solutions tailored to the internal requirements of PuzzleHR and its clients.

• Design, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases for performance.

• Craft complex queries and stored procedures.

• Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance APIs for improved performance and reliability.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and comprehend workflows.

• Ensure that designs align with both business and technical specifications.

• Enhance API performance, scalability, and code quality through rigorous testing, monitoring, and optimization.

• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Leverage new knowledge to enhance product performance and security.

• Develop API connections that integrate applications and platforms with ERP systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in C#/.NET.

• Strong skills in object-oriented programming and software design.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.

• Practical knowledge of RESTful design and integration principles.

• Comprehensive understanding of security best practices, including authentication and encryption.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and design skills.

• Experience with SQL, T-SQL, and managing/optimizing data flows.

• Familiarity with integration tools and techniques for connecting various systems.

• Proficient in version control systems such as Git.

• Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.

• Ability to thrive in an Agile/iterative environment and adapt to evolving requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks like React.

• Exposure to Node.js or Java for backend development.

• Knowledge of automated testing tools and continuous integration practices for API development.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer.

• Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Must be able to participate in video conferences and meetings.
