Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain adaptable and scalable solutions tailored to the internal requirements of Puzzle and client specifications.

• Develop, sustain, and optimize SQL Server databases for performance.

• Write intricate queries and stored procedures.

• Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance APIs for optimal performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and comprehend workflows.

• Ensure that designs align with both business and technical needs.

• Enhance API performance, scalability, and code quality through thorough testing, monitoring, and optimization.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.

• Remain updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Utilize new knowledge to enhance product performance and security.

• Develop and maintain API connections that integrate applications and platforms with ERP systems to guarantee seamless data flow for staff and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in C#/.NET.

• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming and software design.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.

• Practical experience with RESTful design and integration principles.

• Solid understanding of security best practices, including authentication and encryption.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and design skills.

• Experience working with databases, including SQL and T-SQL, alongside managing and optimizing data flows.

• Familiarity with integration tools and techniques for connecting multiple systems.

• Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.

• Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure.

• Ability to thrive in an Agile/iterative environment and adapt to evolving requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Agile methodology.

• Familiarity with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React.

• Exposure to Node.js or Java for backend development.

• Knowledge of automated testing tools and continuous integration practices for API development.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Must be able to participate in video conferences and meetings.
