This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting activities throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Implement computationally efficient cloud-based technologies to enhance pipeline efficiency.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain web interface applications for our cutting-edge products.
• Ensure compliance with software standards.
• Elicit, derive, and document software and/or system requirements to fulfill internal or external customer specifications.
• Develop and sustain applications related to overall operating systems, intricate file maintenance routines, extensive telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
• Operate at a high technical level across all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Assess new and existing software products for potential implementation.
• Support other systems programmers in effectively utilizing technical software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and formulate solutions.
• Produce detailed technical documentation for all developed systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex software issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in complex operating systems and application development.
• Proven track record of successful software development projects, systems programming, application development, and technical evaluation of software products.
• Advanced expertise in server-side programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, PHP) and frameworks.
• Strong experience in RESTful API design, development, and integration.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex software systems.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Proficient in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, modern JS frameworks) for effective full-stack development.
• Experience with software testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS or similar).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Solid understanding of information security, secure coding practices, and federal compliance standards.
• Knowledge of software security principles and best practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
