Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute intricate systems analysis, design, and development initiatives.

• Lead and actively participate in complex project undertakings.

• Offer analytical consulting and guidance in recognizing and implementing IT solutions for client divisions and the Bank.

• Direct and supervise less experienced team members while coordinating development activities.

• Prepare and manage the technical aspects of project plans.

• Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Technology teams from technical analysis through user acceptance testing.

• Create and evaluate test data, execute comprehensive test plans, and finalize debugging processes.

• Assess complex relationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.

• Draft and review technical and functional specifications and system documentation.

• Develop assessments that include necessary tasks, estimated timeframes, and effort required.

• Ensure the efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.

• Recommend suitable technologies, policies, and procedures, and engage in vendor software evaluations.

• Uphold and promote development standards and protocols.

• Assist in formulating expense and capital budgets.

• Monitor team performance and may conduct annual performance reviews.

• Comply with risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls while escalating risk-related matters.

• Maintain internal control standards and implement findings from audits and regulatory reviews.

• Carry out related responsibilities including due diligence, cost/benefit analysis, and business studies.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in systems analysis/application development, or alternatively, at least 8 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including 6 years in systems analysis/application development.

• Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.

• Proficient in personal computers and relevant project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving abilities to facilitate issue resolution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to target audiences.

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong lateral thinking abilities.

• Experience in coordinating efforts between Applications and business units.

• Proven experience in recommending and implementing system solutions.

• Experience in driving project milestones and meeting delivery deadlines.

• Demonstrated mentoring and leadership skills from a project management perspective.
