Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-driven software and utilize AI as the primary method for addressing engineering challenges.

• Create interfaces for autonomous software deployment, including pipelines that produce fixes and present results for human evaluation.

• Construct comprehensive full-stack features from start to finish using Go, React, and TypeScript.

• Take ownership of product outcomes across the entire stack without transferring responsibilities at layer boundaries.

• Design systems for reliability, responsiveness, and high-stakes interface applications.

• Utilize Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar to enhance observability and improve system performance.

• Proactively identify and address gaps in the system.

• May engage in areas such as CI pipeline experience, deployment and release tools, notification infrastructure, monetization processes, AI agent interfaces, or foundational web platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of full-stack production experience.

• Proficient in the daily use of AI tools, with the ability to articulate what was created, how AI influenced the approach, and its limitations.

• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.

• Backend development experience in Go, encompassing API design, data modeling, and service integration.

• Skills in system design and architecture.

• Capable of making informed tradeoffs and documenting the rationale behind decisions.

• Comfortable managing services within a distributed environment.

• Proven experience in delivering software utilized by customers.
