Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance, real-time software for autonomous systems utilizing modern C++.

• Implementing and integrating sophisticated algorithms for autonomous control, sensor fusion, machine learning, and mission planning.

• Architecting and developing software that complies with the Open Mission Systems (OMS) standard, enhancing modularity, interoperability, and swift capability integration across various platforms.

• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of exceptional engineers, researchers, and military subject matter experts to translate operational requirements into technical specifications and software solutions.

• Engaging in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to integration, testing, and deployment.

• Analyzing and optimizing software for performance, scalability, and reliability on designated hardware.

• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for software designs, APIs, and testing procedures.

• Acquiring knowledge of new technologies, frameworks, and operational procedures as necessary.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Security Clearance: Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

• Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.

• C++ Experience: Proven expertise in C++ programming, including familiarity with modern C++ standards.

• Technical Knowledge: A thorough understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and essential algorithms.

• Proven experience with Python for scripting, automation, or data analysis.

• Domain Familiarity: Foundational knowledge of concepts pertaining to autonomous systems, robotics, or artificial intelligence.

• OMS Experience: Direct, hands-on experience in developing software that adheres to the OMS standard and the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).
