Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive full-stack features for Tackle's post-transaction offerings.

• Present marketplace data through React frontends alongside TypeScript/Node.js and Go backends.

• Design and build AWS backend services, including serverless and event-driven architectures.

• Manage and enhance data integrations with AWS, Microsoft, and Google marketplaces.

• Publish change events that are utilized by downstream systems.

• Take ownership of features from design all the way through to deployment and operation.

• Create customer APIs, CRM integrations, and data-change notifications.

• Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers on marketplace billing, usage-data modeling, synchronization, and presentation.

• Engage in code reviews and disseminate knowledge throughout the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in developing full-stack web applications.

• Proficient understanding of both frontend and backend layers.

• Professional experience with React and TypeScript, or a strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript with a willingness to work in a TypeScript-only environment.

• Practical experience in deploying applications on AWS, especially using Lambda, API Gateway, or DynamoDB.

• Familiarity with event-driven patterns such as EventBridge, SQS, Step Functions, or DynamoDB streams is advantageous.

• Ability to work with external APIs and transform data across various systems.

• Comfort in using AI coding tools; AppDirect extensively employs Cursor.

• Strong sense of ownership with the capability to advance work with minimal guidance.

• A genuine intellectual curiosity about how code integrates into larger systems.
