Software Engineer, Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Identify manual processes and implement end-to-end automation.

• Determine which tasks necessitate judgment versus standard coding practices.

• Develop tools and conduct validation prior to autonomous deployment.

• Enhance automation to achieve cost efficiency, speed, and accuracy.

• Upgrade the platform utilized by agents.

• Collaborate with factory operators, finance teams, and other stakeholders.

• Create production AI agents for board inspection, robot programming, factory oversight, back-office tasks, and software development.

• Design systems for evaluation, shadow-running, replay, structured output, sandboxing, and idempotent tool calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in deploying LLM agents and articulating failures along with effectiveness metrics.

• Strong software engineering competencies, encompassing concurrency, idempotency, data modeling, and security.

• Experience in building evaluations prior to trusting outcomes.

• A keen interest in the physical realm, including cameras, robotics, and electronics manufacturing.

• Bonus: Knowledge in computer vision, optimization, or electronics.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Bun, React, Python, FastAPI, Dagster, OpenCV, OR-Tools, PostgreSQL, Nix, NixOS, Nomad, Terraform, Vault, AWS, Modal sandboxes, and OpenTelemetry.
