Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Create high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and minimal cost by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially in GCP and Terraform.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
