Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, prioritizing data quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.

• Assume responsibility for engineering projects from identifying problems to implementation and ongoing enhancements.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and next-generation AI products.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to construct high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating strong backend development skills.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Proven experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive attitude, and the capability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Background in web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
