Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and create dependable pipelines to integrate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale in a cost-effective manner by merging engineering, infrastructure, and research.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive mindset, and capacity to work independently in uncertain conditions.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform, is an advantage.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is beneficial.
