Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Identify and source new audio data avenues while establishing dependable pipelines for integration into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing infrastructures, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the identification of problems through to implementation and ongoing enhancements.

• Create data pipelines that facilitate model training and the development of next-generation AI solutions.

• Integrate engineering, infrastructure, and research to produce high-quality datasets at petabyte scale while maintaining low costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably those involving data pipelines or extensive data processing.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition techniques, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, specifically with GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive approach, and capacity to work independently in uncertain situations.
