Software Engineer – AI-Assisted Full-Stack Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications utilizing Python, FastAPI, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Node.js.

• Create and implement REST or GraphQL APIs, encompassing schemas, resolvers, authentication, authorization, validation, and error management.

• Leverage Claude Code or similar AI coding agents to expedite development while ensuring code quality, security, test coverage, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with SQL and NoSQL databases, focusing on data modeling, migrations, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.

• Utilize message queues such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing, background jobs, and parallel workloads.

• Investigate and rectify complex bugs, production challenges, and performance bottlenecks.

• Produce technical documentation for APIs, system behavior, and implementation decisions.

• Develop and uphold unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold engineering and quality standards.

• Validate AI-generated code through testing, reviews, security assessments, and performance evaluations.

• Utilize Git and GitHub, managing feature branches, pull requests, code reviews, and documented release processes.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and assist in application deployment and maintenance within cloud environments.

• Work with containers, environment configurations, secrets, networking, databases, application services, and deployment pipelines.

• Employ monitoring, logging, error-tracking, and session-replay tools to troubleshoot production issues.

• Collaborate as part of an Agile Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Decompose requirements into estimable technical tasks and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA specialists, data scientists, and external development partners.

• Operate independently in a remote setting while seeking clarification when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in software design and development gained through professional roles, internships, academic projects, open-source contributions, or a robust technical portfolio.

• Experience utilizing Claude Code or a similar AI coding agent for building, debugging, testing, or maintaining software.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI or a similar Python web framework.

• Familiarity with React and JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Experience in developing back-end services using Node.js, Python, or both.

• Understanding of REST or GraphQL API design; proficiency in both is not mandatory.

• Experience in writing unit and integration tests.

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, pull requests, and code review workflows.

• Comprehension of maintainability, modularity, security, and separation of concerns.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Preferred experience with GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, subscriptions, and resolvers.

• Desired familiarity with Playwright, CI/CD platforms, cloud deployment, Docker, observability tools, message queues, AI/ML model integration, authentication, access control, API security, and Agile Scrum.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent practical experience, demonstrable projects, or a strong technical portfolio will also be considered.
