AI Engineer, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop robust machine learning features on Databricks to enhance AI models and address intricate business problems.

• Implement features with comprehensive standard metadata, encompassing description, keys, lineage, ownership, tags, and data lifecycle.

• Utilize scalable design patterns to promote organizational reuse.

• Adhere to deployment pipelines, including CI/CD, bundle validation, and production readiness.

• Supervise job monitoring and implement FinOps practices for efficient cloud resource utilization within Databricks.

• Ensure consistency between training and production environments.

• Maintain a single source of truth for all machine learning models.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and well-governed AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in feature engineering, data engineering, and deploying AI models, particularly using Databricks and Unity Catalog.

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python.

• Strong expertise in data governance, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.

• Thorough understanding of naming conventions, metadata standards, and best practices for scalable data architecture.

• Feature Store certification (Fundamentals / Expert) and experience with financial data is a plus.

• Experience in developing AI agents or agentic infrastructure, such as Mosaic AI Agent Framework, agent orchestration, or MCP, is desirable.
