This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more state.
• Create and implement low-latency runtime instrumentation for Node.js and Python to monitor AI agent execution paths in real-time.
• Lead the development of hooks and interceptors for emerging protocols, including MCP, LLM SDKs, web frameworks, and novel execution transports.
• Develop automated systems and utilize tools to identify, test, and proactively highlight upstream SDK changes before they affect runtime performance.
• Maintain strict execution overhead limits to ensure that guardrails do not hinder the speed of host agent execution.
• Manage the language-runtime sensors and instrumentation layer that integrates with essential packages, generates events for the policy engine, and facilitates real-time block decisions.
• Proven expertise in Node.js and Python in a production environment.
• Familiarity with dynamic module loading, monkey-patching, and low-level runtime interception in both Node.js and Python.
• Ability to connect managed runtimes with compiled binaries such as Rust, C, or C++ with confidence.
• Basic knowledge of memory management, thread safety, and dynamic linking concepts.
• In-depth understanding of non-blocking control flow, including asyncio and the Node event loop.
• Established experience in building robust software on rapidly changing third-party SDKs and challenging runtimes.
