This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create UI architectures for Netflix TV applications that prioritize performance.
• Enhance the Netflix TV platform's capabilities and facilitate a new era of Netflix experiences.
• Cater to various use cases and collaborate with over 100 engineers.
• Manage resources effectively and support new technology integrations.
• Strike a balance between developer experience and ergonomics alongside performance, memory, and scalability.
• Employ systems thinking in the design of application architecture.
• Explore technology internals to boost performance, memory, and user interfaces.
• Enable engineers to develop streaming UIs utilized by hundreds of millions of members across various TV devices.
• Define project scope, discuss architectural choices, assess trade-offs, and outline implementation specifics.
• Work closely with UI Engineering, Design, Platform, and tooling teams.
• Empower fellow engineers by understanding and supporting their specific use cases.
• Proficient in designing UI architectures with a focus on performance.
• Capable of accommodating numerous use cases and scaling with over 100 engineers.
• Skilled in resource management.
• Experienced in facilitating new technology integrations.
• Adept at balancing developer experience and ergonomics with performance, memory, and scalability considerations.
• Comfortable applying systems thinking to application architecture.
• Actively engaged with industry trends and technologies that support scalable software solutions.
• Interested in understanding technology internals and enhancing performance, memory, and user interfaces.
• Proficient in performance and memory profiling.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience with additional languages such as C++.
• Knowledgeable in frameworks like React, Preact, Inferno, or similar.
• Experience with GraphQL or comparable data access solutions.
• Background in API design.
• Passionate about creating elegantly designed, maintainable, and high-performing software.
• Capable of empowering engineers and understanding their use cases.
• Ability to make informed architectural trade-offs.
