Software Development Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain automated test suites and test cases to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.

• Perform both manual and automated testing for REST APIs and user interfaces.

• Design and improve test automation frameworks utilizing Katalon, Groovy, and Java.

• Leverage AI/Copilot to assist in the creation and updating of automation tests.

• Formulate and implement test plans and cases for web and mobile applications.

• Conduct comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and accessibility (508) testing.

• Work collaboratively with developers, analysts, designers, and project managers to establish acceptance criteria and maintain quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using issue-tracking tools like Jira.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.

• Ensure that testing practices comply with security protocols and organizational standards.

• Remain updated on best practices in software QA, accessibility, and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in software QA, encompassing both manual and automated testing.

• Proficient in Groovy and Java for the development of scalable, reusable test scripts.

• Capability to integrate AI Copilot into the automation of test creation.

• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.

• Knowledge of REST API testing and familiarity with tools such as Postman.

• Proficient in SQL and data integrity validation.

• Experience with accessibility testing tools and standards, including Lighthouse, Axe, JAWS, and NVDA.

• Strong comprehension of Agile development environments.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Ability to secure a Position of Public Trust - Medium Background Investigation (MBI).

• Willingness to provide after-hours on-call support as necessary.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
